The banquet room at Den Gyldene Freden is a show of the charm and preserved original features characteristic of the period. Enjoying a meal here gives a unique impression of a bygone era combined with personal service and food and drinks.
On the Bellman floor, The Swedish Academy convenes for its weekly Thursday suppers, a tradition practiced since the early 1900s. The members of the Academy use their personal numbered glasses, which are on display in a locked glass cabinet along on of the walls in the room.
Days other than Thursdays, the banquet room is open for parties of 20 to 40 people.
