The menu is composed of black goose-giblet soup, Swedish goose and Scanian apple pie. The goose is cooked slowly at low temperature, stuffed with Swedish fall apples and juicy plumbs, creating a rich gravy. The distinction is given to the best restaurants in Europe with affordable dining of high quality. Wedholms memorial grant to our head chef The head chef of Den Gyldene Freden, Christian Sjödin, has been awarded Wedholms memorial grant. The award goes to a chef who prepares food in Bengt Wedholms spirit; Swedish courses made by the finest ingredients, refined to do them justice. So the circle is completed. Bengt Wedholm himself had a strong connection to Den Gyldene Freden, where he started out and later on returned as manager. A star chef in the kitchen It's been a year since the closing of Michelin star restaurant Edsbacka Krog. For those of you who miss the cooking of famous head chef Christer Lingström, Gyldene Freden offers a chance to experience some of the restaurant's dishes.
